Richelshagen

Richelshagen is a Fully Licensed 100 Day Performance Tested German Oldenburg stallion. He is one of only 2 fully licensed stallions standing in the UK by the great Rubinstein! A breeding line highly sought after all over the world.

Richelshagen did an excellent performance test in Redefin Germany scoring highly in both the dressage and the jumping sections with an average combined score of 111.05. Richelshagen is trained to Prix St George in dressage and in Europe he also competed foxhunters level show jumping.

In Germany he is sire to auction horses, premium winning foals, foal champions and young successful dressage horses. On the German market Richelshagens stock are sought after and demand high prices. He has a positive BLUP in dressage (110).

Due to injury Richelshagen no longer competes in the sport. Richelshagen has an amazingly kind, easy and trainable temperament, he is a real darling in everyway. He has fabulous conformation combined with that all important "super star - look at me quality"! With his top class breeding, fabulous temperment and success in Germany he is an excellent choice for any breeder and an exciting new introduction to Bristish breeding!

Breeding

Richelshagen is a son of the world famous sought after dressage sire Rubinstein!!! Rubinstein lines feature in many of the top dressage horses in the world today. Rubinstein is shown in the pictures below.

Rubinstein needs no introduction as one of the worlds all time great dressage sires. Rubinstein lines are highly sought after all over the world and this line features in many of the top horses today. Rubinstein had 40 wins at Grand Prix level, was a member of the 1996 Olympic team, sired 89 state premium mares and 66 approved stallions and was the father of top auction horses and Grand Prix winners, sadly he departed from the equestrian stage in June 2000, aged 14, much too early! In this short time he made an incredible impact on dressage breeding. His semen did not freeze well and therefore the horses that carry his blood today are of even higher value.

Rubinstein was born into a dressage Royal Family. His dam is "Antine", full sister to two Olympic dressage stars "Amon" & Dr Reiner Klimkes famous horse "Ahlerich". Rubinstein is by the stallion Rosenkavalier who is by Romadour II, who is the sire of World and Olympic champion, Rembrant. Rubinstein 1 is the sire of Relevant, Rusty, Rhodiamant, Royal Diamond to name but a few.

The eulogies to this brilliant black horse include "a sire of the century", & "On the wings of Olympus" & "Bred strictly according to the golden recipe". Rubinstein was quite simply one of the best dressage sires to have ever lived.

Richelshagens dam Linore a Hannoverian mare is also exceptional. She is by the top Hannoverian stallion Luciano. Richelshagen's dam line is based on the breeding perfection of a Hanoverian blood line, which goes back to the foundation sire Der Löwe xx via Luciano-Lukas-Lugano. His dam Linore is also dam to another approved stallion in Germany Rodomo by Ramino. She is also dam to many State Premium awarded mares including Liberta, Lilli Lottofee, La Ola, Fabiola and Rosenfee. Liberta and Lilli Lottofee are pictured below;

Luciano was known for heritate highly talented performance horses in both dressage and Jumping. He had around 10 approved sons and his blood is highly sought after particularly in dam linages. The dam sire Luciano, who distinguished himself as a model athlete of the very first order, was also the full-brother of the dressage derby winner Marshall 55/Karin Rehbein. Apart from a number of approved sons such as Lord Nelson, Lincoln. Lundberg, Lurioso, Ludendorf and Ly sant, Luciano also presented the successful international competition sports horse Lorenzo 40/Paul Schockemohle, who won the English Showjumping Derby in Hickstead. His blood is highly sought after and proven to produce top performance horses and found in many good dressage stallions pedigree, including Depardieu pictured below;

Duellant a top class Hannoverian stallion of the "D" line, is sire of the DLG mare and state premium mare Duellmodell (Dam of Wenka - in Donnerschwees linage, Dam of Linore in Richelshagens breeding) became world renown as a maker of dressage horses. Three full-Donnerschwee brothers, Deutscher Orden, Dr. Lobo and D.-J. Lobo as well as the half-brother Dayton (by Davignon I) were sold for peak prices via the Vechta Riding Horse Auction. He has a positive BLUP in dressage (110).His first 4 foals born in the uk are all late foals as he didnt arrive in the uk until July 07, all attended german oldenburg grading and all received Oldenburg Premiums meaning the judges deemed the foals of exceptional quality.
